About Mrs. Wadleigh
My name is Lindsay Wadleigh, and I teach music and chorus to grades K-5 at White River School and Ottauquechee School in Hartford, Vermont! I spend two and a half days a week at each school, and I teach around 400 students. I feel very fortunate, because I truly enjoy what I do!
I have loved music from a very young age. I grew up in rural Unity, NH with my loving parents and younger sister. I started singing as soon as I could talk, and I used to tell people that I wanted to be a singer when I grew up. As a member of several choruses and through voice, piano, and flute lessons, my passion for music only grew as I got older. I was also naturally drawn to education and held many leadership and teaching jobs as a teenager.
With my background, it wasn’t hard to choose a college major! I studied music education with a focus on voice at the University of New Hampshire. My college courses were both challenging and exciting, and I couldn’t wait to put my knowledge and skills to use in a teaching position when I graduated in 2010.
After college, I worked as a special education paraprofessional for one year and a middle school music teacher the following year. I was over-the-moon excited when I was offered my current position in 2012! It is my dream job; I love sharing my passion for music and helping mold students into creative, successful, and thoughtful citizens of the world!
I now live in Newport, NH with my husband, Kyle, and our beautiful daughter, Ella.
